How it Works?
Problem Statement
Most apartment buzzer systems only allow one number to be configured. This system is designed for the times when home landlines were the norm. With the rise of cell phones, this system is outdated. This is PITA for people who have multiple people living in the same apartment, including couples and roommates. This problems becomes worse if you just moved out of town and your building only supports local phone numbers.
Solution
We provide a unique local phone number for each apartment. This number can be configured in the buzzer system. When someone buzzes in, the building buzzer system calls this number. This number then redirects the call to all the configured phone numbers. The configured phone numbers can be anywhere across Canada. This way, everyone can buzz-in.
How it Works
- Once you sign up and submit your details (which includes your multiple phone numbers and apartment address), we will provision a unique local phone number based on your location.
- You will recieve an email with the unique local phone number, which you can forward to your building management to configure in the buzzer system.
- When someone dials your apartment number from the buzzer system, our system will call all the configured phone numbers, and the first person to answer the call can verify the person at the the gate and can buzz them in.
- The buzzer system operations will remain the same (i.e. press #9 to buzz-in, hang-up to deny), the only difference is that the call will be redirected to all the configured phone numbers.
- Make sure you read our FAQ for more details on how the system works. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]
Future
We are working on a mobile app that will unlock more interactions like:
- Allows you to buzz-in from a notification from the phone.
- Seamless Roaming, buzz from anywhere in the world 🌎.
